Author and JournalistThe worst outbreak of anthrax in Bangladesh’s history has occurred during the Islamic festival of Eid, which is usually the busiest time of year for cattle traders.
Cattle traders at Gabtali cattle market, one of Dhaka’s largest, reported that sales have declined by 90 percent.
Although no human deaths have been reported amongst the 400 confirmed cases, the general population has naturally shied away from purchasing beef.

haw can a vet handle an anthrax case in the filed .
March 23, 2011 at 6:59 pm •cytology of the exudate for evaluation of the bacillus anthracis bacteria. culture is not recommended. Additionally, PCR can be performed.
